Long Term Product Review by Matt Eaton
Bombz Away Lead Clip System
Here is another, carefully thought out products. The swivel clicks into place and, additionally, is held in place with a retaining pin. Unlike other clips this one has a specially designed track and pin system to retain the lead. What’s so good about that? Well firstly it means that it will work just as well with any lead, whether or not the swivel has been cut off, or if a quick release clip added.
Secondly it allows you to have two settings of lead release pressure. Push the small lug in first and the lead will always come off when snagged. Reverse the link so the large lug slides in first and the lead will discharge more readily. This is particularly useful when snag fishing and you want to lose the lead on the take.
Thirdly, and most importantly, it will work no matter how hard the tail rubber is pushed on.
Countless times I’ve read about cutting the retaining lug back on lead clips or pushing the tail rubber half way on.
It is then necessary to PVA the whole thing when giving it the beans with a big lead. All this messing about is eliminated with Atomic’s Bombz Away Lead Clip.

The system is available in both Silt Brown and Camo Green with matching tail rubbers and each pack contains five bodies, five tail rubbers, fifteen dumbell clips and ten pegs.
Is this the safest lead clip around? We think so.
