The reason why I use this rig is because of the hooking ability of the rig. I have caught a lot of big fish and all have had a good hook hold.

I use a short hair on Gardener Incisor size 8 hook, an inch piece of shrink tube to give the bent hook look and hooking ability, 15lb Chameleon hook length about 5 inches long, Atomic Tackle safety lead clip, Atomic Tackle 2.5oz distance, about a 24 inch length of Gardener lead core to pin the rig to the bottom and 12lb Synergy main line.
