 Finally

The year 2011 is one I would like  forget very quickly as it was all about blanking

Having being without a Bait sponser for the first time in 18 years didn’t make things any better, I could not bait up as I had in the past and this was something that made a lot diffrence !so by the end of June, a few weeks before my yearly 2 week trip to France I got some help from a UK mate who sent me some base mix for the coming trip,so I started to roll my own bait again.

My mate caught on it, but I blanked in a big way in the 2 weeks in France (but had a very good time)after France I continued to  blank over here in Belgium (on waters where last year it  was so easy to catch) but not this year for me, my friend caught but I became the Master Blanker!!

The art of blanking I started calling it, because I did not give in (although I felt alot of pressure to catch) being a Atomic Tackle consultant I needed to catch (not something they tell me to do) but something I set myself as a goal, but for some reason it did not happen ,while all around me Carp were being caught, did I lose it ... ??

I asked myself!!

So by september I only had a few small Carp to show for (not the end of the world) but I was not feeling very happy about it (things like stop carp angling came to mind) but that is not an option because I like being out there along the waters edge ...

Finally I had a good session and banked a few good fish, so I safed a very bad year!!

with a very nice mirror of 43+ ...

The plan for next year is Don and I’ll be fishing a big water here in Belgium (with a low stock)only the bait that will be used is not yet known.

Tackle will be Atomic products, stuff I trust and can rely on!!

The moral of this is never give up,keep trying and in the end you will catch.

Even for long time anglers not everything is easy ... and we blank aswell ...

Tight lines
